Malgorzata Warsicka

Theatre, opera and radio theatre director. She creates multidisciplinary works often connecting drama with contemporary experimental music. Graduated with a degree the Faculty of Directing at the National Academy of Theatre Arts of S. Wyspianski in Krakow. Previously study Architecture and Urban Studies at the Technical University of Tadeusz Kosciuszko also in Krakow. She has been honoured with the Best Polish Director’s Debut Award on “Debut Festival” in Torun (2015). In 2016 for best directing at 22nd National Competition for Polish Modern Arts in , and honoured twice at the National Competition “Live Classics”. (2016 and 2019) 2017 awarded for adaptation to radio theatre. In 2019 her “Beniowski, ballad without a Hero” written by Juliusz Slowacki won the GrandPrix of nationwide “Live classic Festival” Also awarded a Government Scholarship for best young Polish artists in the 12th edition of “Young Poland Programme".
She cooperates with the New Theater in Poznan, the Slowacki Theater in Kraków, TR in Warsaw, the Theater Institut in Warsaw, The Polish Theater in Bielsko-Biala, The Solski Theatre in Tarnów, the Polish Theater in Poznan, , the Sopot Non Fiction in Gdynia, the City Theater in Gdynia.
